One night LIN prepares dinner for CHUNG but CHUNG does not turn up. However CHOR arrives and warns her that he has been appointed as an official and LIN should be obedient. CHOR comes to HING's medicine shop when he is patrolling. He pushes HING's medicine on the floor. HING is angry and employs henchmen to burn CHOR's mill. As CHOR, KAM and HEUNG are inside, they are killed by the fire. LIN and LONG are happy to learn their deaths. CHUNG accuses HING as the killer but the judge CHAN MAN SIU regards it as an accident as there is no evidence.
